GESTALT WORK is a learning process to help people explore their life story; develop their basic core principles; create a toolkit of observational and thinking methods; project ideas and goals into the future.

The work takes place either individually or in small groups (no more than five or six people). One might start off individually and move to a group or vice versa. The groups tend to become “communities of practice” very quickly; a “community of practice” is a group of people sharing some questions, values and interests, and needs for outcomes. Through the group process these are addressed individually and within the social network.

Organizational work can be seen as a kind of staff development and advancement of practice process. I meet with a small group within the company, society or agency to explore their experience within the organizational culture and practice.
